Who doesn’t like cricket? Everyone is in love with the cricket, no matter what the event is or where is it happening, people run after the players or the cricket match to follow the trend and to meet their favorite players. The crazy and hype are so that every time there is an announcement of cricket; people start to write crazy songs, play crazy tones, bring t-shirts and stuff to show their love for cricket and promote cricket.

The people whether the office staff or the home guardians, whenever they plan for a picnic or any gathering the top most favorite game is cricket, on tiring they plan of cards and other games but before that cricket is everything. Even on weekends, before the era of mobile phones people use to enjoy and interact through the games like cricket and football matches. Every family picnic has cricket like a compulsory thing. SO, now you know how important the cricket is and how it feels?

That was pretty general, now let’s talk about the companies and cooperate sector. The cooperate world is full on busy with the tasks and work. Somehow if they feel the need of having a good time, they arrange a picnic or an event. Now this event could be either a cricket tournament or a picnic at beach. The team has to vote and choose, now if you have a team full of boys you are in trouble (laughs). From a simple beach day to a night match, preference and vote goes to night match in many cases. Other these two options there is nothing for entertainment.

Being Imtiaz super market, the mind set of people is still as a branch, but hold on there is a head office too. This year the management of Imtiaz super market considered the fact of involving the branches in the tournament which makes the event more successful and crazier.

Now thought of the people who work in branches, are more active than the head office staffs….  As they are more active because they have to run from here and there, comparing to the head office, where you have to be seated on seat for 7 hours minimum to complete your task for/of the day.

The matches were supposed to be already tough as the teams on ground were stronger and also the teams were clueless about how other party plays. All the branches took place and the crazy maze was about to begin. The cricket fever of Imtiaz super market head office along with all the branches.


Last year we witness the crazy chain of back to back cricket matches only of head office and within the teams of head office. The teams were created within the head office and played at the ground after office on a Saturday, it was more of a day duty and night match. But this year…..

This year something changed, not only the teams but also the matches were. Head office decided to involve the teams from all over the branches. The matches were held between the branches and the winner were suppose to have a match with the head office winning team.

Can you believe how many teams were there for real? And how many matches got played….

The matches between head office teams started after 7pm. Four teams were there, just like the previous one, TEAM HAWKS, TEAM TIGERS, TEAM SHAHEEN AND TEAM KINGS. But the team members were totally changed. Through balloting team players were selected. Everyone was given the benefit of doubt to play. Back to back matches were planned and a crazy round of matches held.

First match held between 2 team, the one lost is out, the winner has a chance to relax and prepare for the next. The other 2 have the match, the looser is out and winner has to beat the winner, and somehow somewhere these were the sets and that’s how they played.

The winner team who was in semifinals, actually played 3 matches and obviously the stamina goes off after such a performance. First match held, they won then second happened and they won again, now back to back crazy matches and obviously the stamina gave up, 3rd match and crucial time. started to play nonstop at 7pm till the ending of event at 4 or 5am in the morning…

One crazy night with so many people from branches and head office, teams and heads of all the dept, involve on a ground level to make and feel everyone is equal, a great entertainment along with no discrimination of position. This event was a surely a memorable one for all. The food stalls, the tea breaks, the excitement and shouting, from making the video till the editing, every single step, even the time when the teams were being selected everything was so on point and it felt so right that everyone has given the opportunity to play and to be a team player, which also motivated the teams and players. One such event is important to boost the level of employee in so many ways and manners.

Fortunately, the team from head office won the semifinals but couldn’t beat the branch team in the finals. Many congrats to the winning team (the branch team), and the runner up (head office team). Some cash vouchers and trophies were distributed at the end of ceremony.

Fish, everyone loves to have fish specially in winters. Fish is easy to cook, an instant yet healthy thing to have. People refer to fish for diet purposes even as it is healthy and full of nutrition. Fish is considered a cheap source of protein diet.

Pakistan is a country of diverse landscapes, wildlife, and ecosystem. The rivers and lakes in Pakistan provide a home for fish . Pakistan is home to both; homegrown and exotic fish species.

There are 531 species of fish in Pakistan. 233 of them are freshwater. Mahseer is the national dish of Pakistan. (according to the Wikipedia). Can you believe that we have 531 types of fishes?

There are over 25 native cold-water fish species and three exotic fish species restricted to the northern area of the country. (according to another research)

The species of fishes have been vulnerable by changing environmental conditions and overfishing in most of the rivers and lakes. The total maritime zone of Pakistan is over 30 percent of the land area.

Marine fish is marketed as fresh, frozen, canned, cured, reduced to fishmeal, other purposes, and some retained by fishermen for their own use. The freshwater catch is marketed fresh for local consumption. Out of the total marine fish production, the percentage for human consumption ranged between 65 and 70 percent in 2006. The rest of the catch was used for other purposes, especially reduction to fishmeal.

Fish and shrimp processing are usually divided into mechanical and non-mechanical processing. The mechanical category includes freezing plants, canning, fishmeal plants, and fish liver oil extraction plants. In the non-mechanical category, there are dried fish, dried shrimp, shark fin, fish maw/stomach, live lobster, live crab, and fish roes/ovaries. There are 27 processing plants for the production of frozen products in Pakistan, one for canning and 8 for fishmeal processing. Almost 100 percent of the frozen and canned fishery products are exported, while the bulk of the processed fishmeal is used in the country in the manufacture of poultry feed or fish feed.

Then we start educating people about our red tags, about the change of color of the price tag. We also check to put it in different portions, different segments, so that people can see and we can judge, is it even worth all the efforts?

Being a supermarket, they need to keep on bringing new ideas that attract the audience. After weekly magazines and promotion offers every week, when they visited the branch, they find that people are still not attracted to the discounted price. But why so? Why even after magazine and everything they are not attracted to the products?

The answer was they use to get lost in the variety of items and also not finding the discounted price. So, now whenever they enter, they can easily see oh that’s the red tag and that means discounted it should be in magazines and even if not in the magazine this will be on discount. Sometimes being supermarket you have a lot of promotions. Adding so much to the magazine or on social media gives a weird look and possibly is hard to cover. Some promotions are live on in branches directly but are not communicated to the channels like social media and magazines or are also for the limited time that they cannot be added in a magazine.

Now! After this red tag, the customer has easy access to the discounted rate items.
